US map · leadership at a glance
Color-coded by early leadership signal (leaders vs mid-pack vs none-heavy). Only Georgia and Washington have seed data so far — every other state is marked coming. Click GA for the launch-state deep view (table, contacts, impact, glossary).
National map stub
Honest early map: statewide colors are provisional. Categories borrow from GA verified aggregates (board_policy / guidance vs procedure / none). Not a finished national ranking.
- Leaders — higher share with
board_policy/guidance - Mid-pack — procedure / handbook / drafting
- None-heavy / mixed — mostly
none(GA today) - Coming soon — no statewide scrape yet

Coverage summary
Strong vs weak/none posture in the current filter (state + entity type) — scannable for a board pitch. Also tracks GA verified toward 180 traditional LEAs (charter/private excluded from that target) and last_verified_at freshness (≤30d fresh · 31–60 aging · >60 stale). Counts update with Georgia / Washington / All and Traditional / Charter / Private.

Glossary / What this means
Short codes in the comparison table are product enums. This glossary is the deep
parent-/teacher-/student-facing meaning layer (mirrored from policy_glossary.md):
what it means, how it’s usually communicated, and what ends up happening. Hover any
policy pill for a tip; click to expand all three layers under the cell. Codes stay stable —
meanings live here only. Note: principles_only = values without operating rules.

Contacts / Decision-makers
Accountability contacts follow entity type: traditional LEAs use superintendent + elected board; state charters use CEO/superintendent-equivalent + governing board; privates lead with Head of School (not an elected-board page). Data from CSV people columns only; empty cells mean pending backfill.

Risk / Impact
Score student and teacher impact separately from the same AI stance. A setup can help teachers (time, planning, autonomy) while hurting student learning — or the reverse. Enums and notes come only from CSV; this UI never invents values.

Living comparison table
Georgia is the launch state; Washington / Seattle metro is an early comparison cohort. Filters use CSV state (GA|WA|…) and entity_type (traditional|charter|private; blank = traditional). Non-traditional rows show a Charter / Private badge. GA verified /180 counts traditional only. One row = one LEA. Enums + source URLs beat essays. This is the product.

Table reads from districts.csv — update the CSV to refresh. Horizontal scroll stays inside this box; district name column sticks.
Prototype only. Verified rows summarize public sources as of last_verified_at; not legal advice. Unverified rows show empty product state. Serve this folder over HTTP (file:// blocks fetch).
GA posture highlights
Four Georgia LEAs chosen deterministically from districts.csv for posture diversity (one board_policy, one guidance, one none, one procedure_handbook — first A–Z within each bucket). Text is the CSV one_liner plus field pills only — no invented narrative.

- National pressure (context): Peer boards keep asking where local posture sits vs restrictive metros and handbook-heavy peers — this seed exists to answer with enums, not essays.
- Watch next: Any GA board_policy / resolution / procedure updates that change the strong vs none split; parent_comms moving from none → faq/letter; first outcomes_published=yes beyond the current seed.
Board pack (draft from CSV)
Auto-built from Georgia rows in districts.csv for a work-session slide. Contrast set = one LEA per posture bucket (board_policy / guidance / none / procedure_handbook), first A–Z within each.

Parent FAQ (GA peer template)
Generic Georgia peer FAQ driven by aggregate patterns in the GA seed — including how families use board roster URLs and named decision-makers when present. Not a single district’s family policy text; we never invent contact names. Use as a handout draft; paid product remains the living table + contacts.
