Does your district have clear, written rules for student use of AI (chatbots, image tools, etc.) that you’ve actually seen? Required

Yes — clear and I’ve seen them Something exists but it’s vague or hard to find I’ve heard of rules but never seen them No written student AI rules I’m aware of Not sure

In your classroom / school, what best describes how student AI use is handled day to day? Required

Clear expectations, consistently enforced Expectations exist but enforcement is uneven Teachers mostly set their own rules Mostly ignored / unspoken Actively encouraged with few limits Not sure

How close is day-to-day practice to whatever is written publicly? Required

Practice matches the written rules Practice is stricter than what’s written Practice is looser than what’s written There isn’t really a written standard to compare Not sure

If one teacher doesn’t allow ChatGPT for homework, but another has said nothing, is it OK for a student to use ChatGPT for homework in the second teacher’s class? Required

Yes — silence means allowed No — assume not OK until told Only if that teacher / school policy says it’s OK I’m not sure
